I am currently a PhD student in Political Science Department in National University of Singapore, majoring international relations. My research interests lie in political economy of development finance and multilateral development banks (MDBs). I am particularly interested in how the financing model and constraint of MDBs shape the institution’s strategies and operations as well as MDB’s relationship with different stakeholders.
Previously, I worked as a short-term consultant in the Business Climate Department of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) at the World Bank (2013-2015). Following that, I spent two years working in investment banking in China (2016-2017), and then conducted research on development finance at a think tank in China (2017-2019). I received the Master in Finance from George Washington University (2013) and the Bachelors in Financial Engineering from Beihang University (2011).
I am a bookworm and also enjoy writing book reviews and essays. I’m passionate about sports, particularly football. During the free time, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and trying different cuisines. During the holidays, I love traveling to different places, especially developing countries.
